Welcome to Curio Connection. By downloading, installing, or using the Curio Connection mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Curio Connection is a mobile application that provides personality insights and readings based on:
• Visual Analysis: Photos of faces, eyes, palms, or handwriting analyzed using AI to generate observational and interpretive readings.
• Imagination Games: Kokology-style projective exercises where you describe visualized scenarios; AI interprets your responses symbolically.
• Compatibility Mode: Comparison of two people's readings to explore potential connection and chemistry.
• Curio Packs: Shareable links that let you invite others to test their compatibility with you. When you create a pack, a summary of your reading (no photos) is stored in the cloud and is publicly accessible to anyone with the link.
The App is for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not a substitute for professional advice (psychological, medical, legal, or otherwise). Readings are generated by artificial intelligence and often resonate with users, encouraging mindfulness—but they should not be relied upon for important life decisions.
The App does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical or health condition. Analysis of faces, eyes, palms, or handwriting is used solely for self-reflection and entertainment. The App makes no health claims and is not intended for use in diagnosing, curing, or preventing disease or illness. If you have health concerns, consult a qualified healthcare provider.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian review these Terms and supervise your use.
• An account is required to use the App. You sign up with email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You are responsible for any information you provide (email, display name, birth date, and reading-related details) and for ensuring it is accurate and appropriate to share.
• Do not submit images or information about others without their consent.
• When you create a Curio Pack, you choose what to include. By creating a pack, you consent to that data being stored in the cloud and publicly accessible via the share link. Packs do not include photos.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:
• Submit images or content that are offensive, illegal, or infringe others' rights.
• Use the App to harass, harm, or impersonate others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code.
• Use automated tools to access the App in ways that violate these Terms or harm the service.
• Circumvent any technical safeguards or usage limits.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
• Readings and interpretations are generated by artificial intelligence (AI) and are not created by humans.
• AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy, usefulness, or suitability of any reading.
• You use AI-generated content at your own risk. Do not use it for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. The App does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical or health condition.
• We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on App content.
• The App, including its design, code, branding, and content (except user-provided and AI-generated reading text), is owned by us or our licensors.
• You retain ownership of images and text you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a license to process it (including sharing with AI providers) solely to provide the App's functionality.
• When you create a Curio Pack, you grant us a license to store and display the pack content (reading summary, display name, and any optional profile fields you include) in connection with the shareable link.
• AI-generated readings are provided to you for personal use. You may share them as you wish (including via Curio Packs), but we do not grant you rights to our trademarks or the App's underlying technology.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
• Our total liability for any claims related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past twelve months (or $0 if the App is free).
• We are not liable for any harm resulting from AI-generated content, third-party services (including Groq and Firebase), or your reliance on readings.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
The App relies on third-party services:
• Groq for AI processing of images and text.
• Google Firebase for authentication (email/password) and cloud storage (account data, Curio Packs).
Your use of the App may be subject to those providers' terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party conduct, availability, or data practices.
We may modify the App or these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or other reasonable means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App for violations of these Terms or for any other reason. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases; provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, or if necessary, through the courts of the State of California, United States.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without restriction.
